About Stonehill Cottage

Hi, I’m Bridget, founder of Stonehill Cottage – a warm, welcoming therapy space for children, teens, families, and individuals who are ready to heal and grow.

I created this practice because I believe in connection.

It’s a powerful force.

I’ve spent years walking alongside kids who are feeling overwhelmed.

Teens trying to find their voice.

Parents exhausted from second-guessing everything.

And individuals carrying heavy stories they’re ready to unpack.

Here’s what I believe…

  • I believe healing happens in relationships.
  • I believe children need to feel safe before they can learn or grow.
  • I believe parents deserve support, not shame.
  • I believe therapy should feel human, hopeful, and even a little bit joyful.
  • I believe you don’t have to wait for a crisis to ask for help.

I also believe that…

Therapy should be less clinical and more like a deep breath.

It should be a place where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.

My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and practical strategies that fit your life.

Whether I’m on the floor playing with a kindergartener…

Helping a teen reframe anxious thoughts…

Coaching a parent through bedtime meltdowns…

Or holding space for someone navigating deep grief…

I’m here to meet you exactly where you are.

Therapy with me isn’t about checking boxes or forcing breakthroughs.

It’s about showing up as you are and moving toward something better, slowly and gently.

It’s about growth.

And hope.

And YOU.

I bring a warm, down-to-earth presence to the therapy room and am deeply committed to creating a space where all clients feel safe, seen, and respected.

If you’re ready to explore whether this is the right place for you or your child, I’d love to talk.
